In my quest for living more consciously with higher self awareness, I thought it’d be a great chance to learn more during my morning and afternoon commute to and from work. It’s about a 35 minute drive each way, and I’ve found podcasts to be a great way to sneak some education and enlightenment into every day.
I’ve found quite a few podcasts that I enjoy, and I’ve found quite a few that I didn’t enjoy. Each one of these selections I’ve presented below bring value to my life. Check each one out and see if you like it, but don’t write them off immediately if you don’t take an instant liking to them. It takes a few episodes to really start to resonate with the way each speaker presents their ideas.
Most of these can be found on iTunes…listen to some and let me know your thoughts.

Adam Carolla is a huge car enthusiast and just an all around funny guy. He interviews people within the automotive industry, talks about investment cars, and reviews cars brought in my guests of the show.

Dave Ramsey is a personal finance guru who teaches common sense methods on how to live a debt free life. I’m currently going through his “baby steps” on my way to living debt free, and it’s broken me from the bonds of borrowing money.

Tripp Lanier is a men’s coach and group facilitator who really gives authenticity a new meaning. Almost every single episode brings up topics that a guy can really relate to. I’ve re-listened to almost all the episodes and still enjoy them all.

The guys over at The Art of Charm aren’t part of your typical “pick up artist” community. These guys are all about being natural, attractive men who are able to bring value to other peoples lives. There are no pickup lines, routines, or cheesy fake material here. I really enjoy their content, and I think you will as well.

Just a quick post, which has spawned from a podcast I listened to earlier tonight. I think one thing that limits people from achievement, is the feeling that their big goals are just “too hard”. Some people have grand ideas of what they want to achieve in life, but they never start on that path towards the goal.
Imagine that you’ve had a great business idea for the past few years. You want to open a shop to modify cars. You have a great vision that this place is going to have three lifts, a dyno, an alignment rack, a fully stocked warehouse, a classy and modern showroom…sound nice huh? Well this great, grandiose idea is so large that you don’t even know where to start. If only you could hit the lottery, so you can build this great shop of yours. The customers would love it and money would be pouring in. But that vision is actually version 10.0 of your dream, the end state of probably ten years worth of work.
So how do you get to version 10.0 of your dream? You start off with version 0.1. That’s right version 0.1. What is the smallest granular detail you can start with to begin your quest to that end state vision?
I challenge you to think about your goals and complete version 0.1 within the next ten days.
Leave a comment for us, tell your spouse, tell your best friend, write it on a note and post it on your refrigerator. Hold yourself accountable for this, it’s so small that it should be easy to do. Write down that idea, make that phone call, buy those tools needed to begin working on cars, get that job at the local speed shop to gain the experience, begin to network with people that can help you on your way to your dream. It’s all a logical progression towards your goals. It just doesn’t fall into your lap, it’s the culmination of all those initial versions you’ve accomplished. All those baby steps…
Do you feel that you have untapped potential and are ready to “step it up” in your life?
Or,
Are you tired of living a mediocre life, and KNOW you could be playing a “bigger game”?
Have you ever wished you had a circle of Men who you met with regularly, who “had your back” and were committed to your greatness as a man?
A Circle of Men who:
- * You feel free and safe to drop your “social mask” and GET REAL around
* Don’t buy the excuses you tell yourself to justify “playing small” in your life?
* Compassionately “call you out” when you’re bullshitting yourself or others
* Offer moral and emotional support through the challenges we all face as men (no pity parties, though)
* Will be honest, direct and authentic about how they experience you
* Will demand your best, and expect that you demand the best out of them
* Will strengthen your relationships with ALL other men (which is CRITICAL for your success with women, btw)
* Offer insightful feedback on your life situation and relationship with career, women, family, money, etc.
* You can bring your biggest challenges to them, without being judged, shamed or ridiculed
* Challenge you to “play a big game” in your life, take risks, face your fears and push your edges to help you grow as a man and as a human being – and expect the same of you

Water them with optimism and solutions and you will cultivate success. Always be on the lookout for ways to turn a problem into an opportunity for success.
