About

Tuned Perception is my personal blog devoted to all things that interest me.  I’ve always been a big communicator online, either through email, instant messaging, newsgroups, message forums, or social networking sites.  I decided to consolidate most of my communications in one location to provide insight I’ve gained through my life.  My goal is to connect with like minded individuals for engaging discussions on what we enjoy in life.

Cars

I’ve been an avid automobile enthusiast for the past 15 years, and I’ve held positions within the automotive industry, specifically sales, installation, and marketing.  I’ve been an active participant in car show competition along with car show planning.  Friends come to me whenever they need advice on a car problem or need automotive related advice.

Photography

With the passion for cars and modification, a love of photography has slowly grown.  Purchase of an SLR camera in 2007 has thrown me into a world which allows me to express myself through the lens.  My goal is to have my work published in a nationally published magazine or newspaper.

Health/Fitness

Growing up as a skinny kid prompted me to look into weight training as a means to change my physical appearance.  This also led me to a love for all things health related.  I’m a huge proponent for nutritional supplements, and a lot of my close friends know me to be a health nut.  Don’t get me wrong, my favorite food is still pizza…you can’t beat a thin crust sausage and pepperoni from Grimaldi’s.

Food

Speaking of food, I make it a habit to try new restaurants at least once a week.  The novelty of new atmospheres, smells, and tastes never gets old.  I love taking pictures of foods I try and I can offer my insight on the good, bad, and ugly of each restaurant.

Self Development

And to round out what I call life is my pursuit of being the best that I can be.  “Help yourself to some self help.”  Some people look down upon self help, thinking that only mentally unstable individuals read self help material.  I, however, thrive upon it.  I’m like a sponge, when it comes to the self education  of realizing my full potential.  I’m not satisfied with “just being me”…I’m satisfied in knowing that I am a better person today, than I was yesterday.
